Teaching science can be very rewarding and interesting as well. To help illustrate many of the scientific concepts you need some science teaching supplies.

Here are some of my recommendations regarding essentials.

This list can be extremely broad but I’d like to focus on some of the more popular types of science and then some helpful tools and supplies related to that.

I think most people would agree that astronomy and the study of our solar system is something that most students should understand better.

1. I’ve purchased and used a neat inflatable model of our solar system. The kids can see this up close and much better understand the planets and how they interact.

2. Magnifying lenses are essential. There are so many things your kids would enjoy studying up close. This can include crystals, bugs, and flowers. Think of the possibilities.

3. Charts and books on your body and how it works are great. This has been very interesting for my students and is a great way to teach them about our bodies and all their different parts.

4. I’ve purchased some fossil collections and find them great. Everyone really enjoys studying about dinosaurs and other ancient creatures. These fossils are a great way to help show the kids ancient life millions of years ago.

5. Another fun project involves gears. I’ve got this neat set of gears I can put together.

The kids love to see how the gears interact with each other and how the larger gears spin slower than the smaller gears, etc.

So there are many ways to demonstrate fun science concepts. Check out different teachers supply websites and you can find many more ideas.
